Dr. Gavin Fox

Dr. Gavin loves being an orthodontist because of the relationships he gets to build with his patients and their families and the opportunity to be part of their transformation. He especially enjoys seeing a patient reach the end of treatment, smile at the results, and gain the confidence that comes with it. For Dr. Gavin, those moments are what make orthodontics so rewarding.
Originally from Chattanooga, Tennessee, Dr. Gavin and his family moved to the Lowcountry in 2021 to join the Winning Orthodontic Smiles team. They were excited to be closer to his wife Christine’s family, spend more time outdoors, and enjoy the natural beauty of the Lowcountry. Most importantly, they felt it would be a wonderful place to raise their three children. They are grateful to now call the Lowcountry home.
Education & Experience
Dr. Gavin attended Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina, before earning his dental degree from the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry in Memphis. During dental school, he served as class president all four years and graduated at the top of his class.
He continued at the University of Tennessee to complete a three-year orthodontic residency, where he served as chief resident during his final year. His training deepened his appreciation for the combination of science, technology, and artistry involved in orthodontics and confirmed his passion for helping patients achieve healthy, confident smiles.
Dr. Gavin is a board-certified orthodontist and a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. Board certification reflects his commitment to continued learning and maintaining a high standard of orthodontic care.
Outside of the Office
In his spare time, Dr. Gavin enjoys spending time with his wife, Christine, and their three children, Bennett, Cooper, and Grace. They love spending time outdoors, including going to the beach. Dr. Gavin and Christine stay involved and active in their kids’ school and activities, including Dr. Gavin coaching Bennett’s football team.
Dr. Gavin also enjoys running, traveling, and cheering on the Tennessee Vols. A lifelong Vols fan, he grew up attending games in Knoxville and still looks forward to watching them each fall. Dr. Gavin and Christine met at Furman University and feel fortunate to be raising their family in the Lowcountry.
